All surgery consultations are by appointment only and can be made by telephone, in person, or online via the above link. To reduce inconvenience and waiting times for other patients, those arriving more than 10 minutes late are routinely asked to rebook. If you telephone us in advance to let us know you are going to be late we will try to accommodate you.

75% of our appointments are available for pre-booking with your own doctor up to four weeks in advance. The other appointments become available on the day.

Phased release of appointments information:  Appointments Protocol

If you need an appointment on the same day please contact the surgery. If you feel that you must be seen we will always accommodate you, but it will not always be possible for toy to see the doctor of your choice, and you may need to be flexible regarding the time of the appointment.

We always encourage you to see your own GP for routine matters, as this improves consistency and continuity in your care.

Telephone Advice

GP's are also available for telephone advice between 11:30 and 12:00, Monday to Friday. If you need to speak to a doctor or nurse and if they are not consulting, your call will be put through. If they have begun surgery you will be asked to ring back at a time when he/she should be available. If you ring again and the clinician is still not available the receptionist will give him/her your telephone number to ring you as soon as they are free to do so.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

Please note:  Extended Hours HUB will be at Ley Hill Surgery, 228 Lichfield Rd, Sutton Coldfield B74 2UE wef 1 June 2019

Non-attendance of booked appointments is a waste of valuable time which increases the general waiting time for an appointment. Patients are expected to give advanced notice (at least 30 minutes) if they are unable to attend. Repeated failure to do this will lead to removal from our list.
