Practice Management

Jenny Keane

The Practice Manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Jennifer Stanley

Deputy Practice Manager, joins us on 31 July 2017.  She will  assist and deputise for the Practice Manager,  to ensure the management of the practice is maintained to the high standard of care we strive to offer to our patients.

Administration

The administration team provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with patient records, medical reports and vasectomy clinics.

Workflow Administrator

Reception

The Reception team is led by our Reception Managers, Karen Philpott & Beccy Siekierski.  Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for making appointments, collection of prescriptions and correspondence from main reception.  They also perform other important tasks such as new registrations, dealing with incoming and outgoing patient records, and attaching/scanning electronic hospital letters to patient medical records.

Secretaries

The secretarial team provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for medical enquiries. They carry out important tasks including referral letters, secretarial tasks for the doctors, liaising with hospitals, mental health teams and clinicians allied to the practice such as district nurses, health visitors.  The secretaries are 'buddied' to named GPs at Ashfield.
